Summer trips between Toronto and Montreal are about to get a whole lot cheaper!
Starting June 24 and running through August 27, 2025, Megabus is rolling out a major seat sale that makes it easier than ever to plan an affordable day trip or weekend getaway to Quebec’s largest city.
The budget-friendly bus company is offering 10,000 discounted tickets for travel between Toronto and Kingston for just $9.99, and between Toronto and Montreal for as low as $14.99, both plus a small reservation fee.
Spend a weekend strolling the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal or visiting Mount Royal Park with a Montreal-style bagel in hand, or opt for a closer trip to Kingston and explore Fort Henry National Historic Site.
Before you get too excited however, there is a catch: the cheapest fares are only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, and you’ll need to book at least two weeks in advance. Also, there are blackout dates including June 28, July 1 – 2, and August 2 and 5 – 6, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Typically, Megabus tickets on the Toronto-Montreal route usually start at around $60, whereas flights can cost upwards of $200, so this is definitely still a steal.
In addition, Megabus has also expanded its network to more summer destinations throughout and beyond the province, including Wasaga Beach, Tobermory, and even New York City!
