A gigantic 45-foot-high ski hill will soon take over downtown Mississauga, transforming Celebration Square into an adrenaline-fueled winter playground.
Returning for its second year, APIK Mississauga will once again showcase the mindblowing tricks of nearly 100 professional sports athletes from across the globe.

From January 30 to February 1, 2026, APIK’s custom-built snowpark will feature eight rail setups and thousands of cubic metres of fresh powder. The towering structure, stretching nearly 300 feet in length, will host three days of high-intensity ski and snowboard competitions.
The main draw is the high-stakes competition, where athletes will battle for a share of a massive $100,000 prize purse. The weekend kicks off Friday evening with a focus on style, featuring snowskate and skateboarding best-trick sessions. Saturday belongs to the skiers, while Sunday sees the snowboarders take flight, both days culminating in legendary “cash-for-tricks” sessions.
The event is also completely free to attend for spectators, making it a perfect cold-weather outing for families and thrill-seekers alike. Besides witnessing the competition, the square will be buzzing with live DJ sets, an interactive Vendor Village, and a kids’ riders course.

If you’re feeling brave, you can even sign up for free snowskate lessons on a dedicated practice hill to test your own skills on the snow. There will also be a variety of local food trucks serving up hot treats as well as an outdoor winter beer garden.
While the event is free to watch, those looking for an elevated view can find information on VIP passes and the full athlete lineup on the official APIK website.
