Anatolia Fest was last held in 2017 and quietly disappeared without an official cancellation, leading many to believe it was gone for good. That’s why organizers are describing its return as a reunion rather than simply a third edition, celebrating the community that formed around the event as much as the festival itself.
Returning to Sankofa Square this September, the festival will showcase Turkish and Anatolian culture through traditional food, music, crafts, and cultural experiences. Visitors can enjoy Turkish coffee, baklava, regional specialties, live performances, artisan vendors, and a Grand Bazaar-inspired marketplace that captures the spirit of Türkiye’s historic markets.
Hosted by Kütüphane Canada, the same organization behind the original events, the festival aims to share Turkish culture and reconnect communities through food, art, music, and tradition. Set in one of Toronto’s busiest public squares, it offers an accessible and welcoming introduction to Anatolian heritage for both longtime supporters and first-time visitors.
After nearly a decade away, the festival’s return marks a long-awaited revival of an event many thought would never come back.
