A beloved seasonal getaway is coming to life just outside Toronto, and the charming town of Elora usually known as “Ontario’s most beautiful village” will once again transform into Ontario’s spookiest village.
Monster Month in Elora is coming back for the entire month of October, featuring a 31-day celebration filled with ghastly art, spooky family-friendly activities, and unique small-town charm.

From exploring eerie streets lit by over 100 wire lantern sculptures to embarking on nightly ghost walks, you’ll get to wander through terrifyingly creative displays, explore boutique shops, and take in over 50 themed community events.
Hunt for the massive monster sculptures of Tim Murton’s iconic Twilight Zoo scattered throughout downtown, take a self-guided tour of local haunted spots, or bring your family and pets in costume to march in the popular Monster March parade. The festival will also feature spooky stables, live magicians, candlelight shopping, and themed movie screenings throughout the month.

Self-guided tours to see the village’s massive lantern monsters are completely free to enjoy. Tickets and pricing vary for specific workshops, haunted house entries, and guided walking tours, so be sure to check event listings online to reserve your spot!
Monster Month will run in downtown Elora from Thursday, October 1 to Sunday, November 1.
