October has officially arrived, which means Halloween is almost here!
To celebrate spooky SEA-son, Dark Waters is coming officially coming back on Friday, October 30th, turning Ripley’s Aquarium into an epic after-hours bash for a Halloween “under the sea”.
The 19+ event runs from 8 p.m. to midnight, giving guests the chance to wander through the aquarium’s galleries after dark, surrounded by sharks, rays, jellyfish and other creatures of the deep.
Attendees can expect live entertainment throughout the evening, various photo opportunities and plenty of Halloween-themed touches as you explore the aquarium. There will also be live pumpkin carving, tarot card readings and themed food stations to keep you fuelled.
Because no Halloween party is complete without snacks, your ticket includes access to themed popcorn and gummy stations, plus a complimentary souvenir photo valued at $25. For drinks, guests can purchase food and alcohol tokens, with devilishly themed cocktails available throughout the evening.
While you can simply come to enjoy the Halloween atmosphere, costumes are highly encouraged if you’re looking to fully embrace the night.

The aquarium will close to regular visitors at 6 p.m. that day ahead of the ticketed Halloween event, so Dark Waters is a distinctly after-hours experience.
Tickets are priced at $62.50 plus HST for general admission, while aquarium members can score a 20% discount. Grab yours early, because this popular late-night event is bound to sell out fast!
Dark Waters will take place at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada on Friday, October 30th, running from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
