Toronto is heading toward Halloween with fluctuating temperatures and cooler weather expected next week. According to Environment Canada’s forecast, Friday, October 23, will be mainly sunny, while Saturday, October 24, will be sunny, with highs of 13°C and 15°C, respectively. Temperatures are then expected to climb to 18°C on Sunday, October 25.
The warmth will continue Monday, October 26, with a high of 18°C and a 30% chance of showers. Cooler conditions are expected Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28, with highs of 12°C and 14°C, respectively. Tuesday night could dip to 6°C. No weather alerts are currently listed for Toronto.
Looking further ahead, The Weather Network‘s October 1 outlook predicted sharper cold fronts across Eastern Canada, frost extending farther south, and the possibility of Ontario and Quebec seeing their first snowflakes. However, the outlook emphasized fluctuating temperatures rather than a sustained cold spell.
A more recent October 18 update suggested Ontario could experience relatively dry conditions through the remainder of the month, with occasional periods of milder air.
So, will Toronto have a cold Halloween? It’s still too early to say for certain. Whether October 31 turns out chilly or mild, families should prepare for cooler evening temperatures with layers under costumes, comfortable hats and gloves for trick-or-treating.
A clearer picture should emerge this weekend, when Environment Canada’s seven-day forecast is expected to include Halloween. Until then, specific temperature predictions for October 31 remain subject to change.
