The Friends of Allan Gardens, a community group that organizes programs in the park and conservatory, is hosting three pumpkin carving sessions this October.
The first takes place tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by evening sessions on Wednesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. All sessions will be held at Allan Gardens, 160 Gerrard Street East, Toronto.
Visitors can carve their own mini pumpkin jack-o’-lanterns, with pumpkins and carving tools provided. It’s a fun, hands-on way to celebrate Halloween without bringing supplies from home.
Organizers suggest a $5 cash donation per mini pumpkin, with proceeds supporting Friends of Allan Gardens and helping keep its programs free and accessible.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and costumes are welcome. Visitors may also want to bring a bag to carry their finished pumpkin home and a container for seeds.
The October 28 and 29 evening sessions offer a relaxed Halloween activity after work or school, with just enough time to display your creation before Halloween on Saturday, October 31.
