Breadstick-lovers in the Waterloo region, it will soon be your time to shine.
Olive Garden announced yesterday on its socials that it is officially opening a brand new restaurant in Waterloo, bringing its beloved, comfort-filled menu highlighted by endless soup, fresh garden salad, and warm garlic breadsticks.
“Waterloo, get ready… Olive Garden is on the way!! Never-ending soup, salad and breadsticks? Yes, please!” says the caption of their Instagram post.
“We’re getting closer, but you’ll have to hold onto your breadsticks a little longer. We don’t have an exact opening date just yet, but we’re targeting late spring 2027.”
From heaping plates of fettuccine alfredo and tour-of-Italy platters to rich desserts, you’ll soon be able to sit down for hearty Italian-American classics and indulge in all the unlimited sides you can handle. The spacious new dining room will also feature full bar service, pouring classic Italian cocktails and affordable wines.
After opening its first GTA location at Vaughan Mills this past summer, the chain continues to slowly but surely expand its presence across Ontario.
The new location will take over the former Swiss Chalet space at The Boardwalk, situated at 340 The Boardwalk in Waterloo. While an exact opening day has not yet been announced, the chain is aiming to welcome diners in spring 2027 as renovations get underway.
