There’s nothing quite as serene as a picnic among fields of lavender flowers, and this Ontario farm is taking it to the next level.
Avalon Lavender Farm is once again teaming up with one of Toronto’s best Italian restaurants PIANO PIANO to host a series of magical high-tea garden picnics throughout the summer, happening every Saturday between June 22 and August 10.
Found just over an hour away from the city in the small town of Mono, you’ll get to indulge in delicious sweet and savory offerings, sip fine tea, and explore the stunning farm which includes a restored heritage barn, flowing river, murals and art, farm animals to visit, and of course, rows upon rows of lavender blooms.
The High-Tea Lavender Garden Picnic features an epic spread curated by PIANO PIANO. With scones, cannoli, panna cotta, smoked salmon, fresh Focaccia, and so much more, you’re guaranteed to not leave hungry!
Once you’ve eaten as much as you can, lounge in the day bed gazebos before taking a stroll around the property. On your way out, don’t miss the Heritage Barn gift shop for some souvenirs!
Tickets to the picnics can already be booked online, priced at $99 per person or $297 for a family including two adults and up to three kids (or for one adult and up to four kids).
If you don’t have a method of transportation, the farm has now partnered with Balzac’s Coffee to hook you up with rides to and from the farm every Saturday, departing at 11 a.m. at Balzac’s Liberty Village location.
They’ll be returning from Avalon at 4 p.m. as well, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the high-tea experience, or just explore the farm with a field access ticket.
This picnic experience is one you won’t want to miss, so be sure to book soon!
