If you’ve ever wanted to get lost in a field of golden blooms, this farm just an hour outside the city is the perfect place to do so.
Located just east of Oshawa in Bowmanville, Bragg Farms offers one of the region’s most picturesque backdrop transformations every summer.
Running from July 21 through late August this year, the 200-acre, family-owned farm transforms into a stunning floral haven featuring three fields of sunflowers that mature in sequence, ensuring visitors catch peak blooms throughout the season.
Guests can wander through the glowing pathways during the day or capture magical golden hour photos against millions of towering stems. The farm also hosts a series of special summer events right among the flowers, including sunrise and sunset yoga classes, line dancing by the pond, outdoor paint nights, and Pilates.
Besides snapping Instagram-worthy moments, early visitors can enjoy incredible birdwatching opportunities along the trails, thanks to the farm’s deep roots in producing wild birdseed blends. Before heading home, guests can also stop by the on-site farm shop to pick up fresh, free-range Omega-3 eggs and local farm products.
The Sunflower Field Experience runs daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. throughout the blooming season.
Bragg Farms is located at 3048 Concession Road 3 in Bowmanville. General admission tickets can be purchased on-site upon arrival, with dogs welcome on-leash.
