Canada Day is just days away, falling on Monday July 1 marking the first official long weekend of the summer! A number of events will be going on in the city this weekend to commemorate the occasion, including a number of spectacular fireworks shows in Toronto.

1. Ashbridges Bay Park
Head to Ashbridges Bay Park in the Beaches for a dazzling fireworks show on July 1 at 10 p.m. During the day, you can also walk along the Woodbine Beach Boardwalk, sunbathe on the beach, go for a hike, or bird watch.

2. Canada’s Wonderland
Canada’s largest amusement park will be putting on their annual Canada Day fireworks show, with TWO nights of fireworks on June 30 and July 1 at 10 p.m. each night. The park will also have daytime festivities, so go early to enjoy live music, food, street entertainers, traditional Indigenous performances, and more.

3. Milliken Park
Milliken Park in Scarborough will be hosting a vibrant fireworks show on July 1 at 10 p.m. Prior to the show, you can explore the large park’s boardwalk, watch swans and waterfowl in the pond, or have a picnic.

4. Centennial Park
Etobicoke’s Centennial Park opened in 1967 on Canada’s 100th birthday, so what better place to see Canada Day fireworks? Home to Centennial Park Conservatory and the Centennial Park Pan Am BMX Centre, the expansive park will be putting on their fireworks show at 10 p.m. on July 1.

5. Stan Wadlow Park
Stan Wadlow Park is found in East York, and will kick off the Canada Day celebrations early with a parade at 10:30 a.m. on July 1. There will also be main stage entertainment, a midway, artisan market, food vendors, and even a beer garden. The fireworks show will go on at 10 p.m. on July 1.
