One of the biggest changes at this year’s Canadian National Exhibition is the rebranding of the iconic Bandshell as the Bell SOUNDSTAGE at the Bandshell through a partnership with Billboard Canada and Rolling Stone Canada. The venue will host a lineup of free concerts included with regular CNE admission.
The series kicks off with Lupe Fiasco on August 21, followed by Lights on August 22 and Shaggy on August 23. Later in the fair, visitors can catch performances by The Trews, Silverstein, and Tom Cochrane, who returns for a hometown show on September 5.
Another new addition for 2026 is the NXNE Stage, making its CNE debut with a spotlight on emerging artists. Known for showcasing rising talent, the festival is bringing its discovery-focused approach to the fair. Part of the lineup is selected through a fan voting campaign that gave attendees a chance to help choose which up-and-coming acts would perform.
Classic Meets New
Beyond the music, the beloved SuperDogs return with an all-new show, Fairy Tails, while Kids’ World will feature refreshed programming for younger visitors. The Food Building is also back with its signature mix of classic favourites and over-the-top new creations, with this year’s lineup still to be revealed.
Returning attractions include the Canadian International Air Show over Labour Day weekend, the Farm, the Gaming Garage, dozens of midway rides, and the annual Warrior’s Day Parade, a long-standing CNE tradition. While there are plenty of new additions this year, the CNE continues to deliver the classic experience generations of visitors know and love.
