The Candlelight series invites everyone to experience selections from one the Venetian composer’s greatest works like never before. As well as a talented orchestra doing justice to the breathtaking concertos, this Candlelight performance will also feature pieces by Jules Massenet and Astor Piazzolla.

Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons gives a voice to each season of the year. Throughout the course of each memesmerising note, listeners can hear wind, thunderstorms, bird calls, and a dog barking. An early example of program music, The Four Seasons is based on a set of Italian sonnets and depicts spring, summer, winter, and autumn in the most captivating way. No matter what time of year it is, you cannot say no to an evening inspired by this triumph in classical music.
Fall under the spell of The Canadian Chamber Orchestra’s performance of “The Four Seasons, Violin Concerto in G Minor, Op. 8 No. 1 RV 269: “Spring”, “The Four Seasons, Violin Concerto in G Minor, Op. 8 No. 4 RV 297: “Winter”, and more. This enchanting concert allows you to live, musically, through some of the most striking characteristics of the seasons whilst appreciating Astor Piazzolla’s “Libertango” alongside Jules Massenet’s “Thaïs: Méditation”.
