The official start to fall is less than a week away, and it’s about time to welcome spooky season with the many Halloween-themed events and activities happening in and around the city!
One of the most popular destinations for spine-tingling fun in the city is Casa Loma’s annual Legends of Horror event. As of October, the iconic mansion will once again transform into an immersive Halloween-themed theatrical experience.
Guests will be able to creep through a haunted 2 km trail beginning in the lower gardens before winding through eerie tunnels and some of the castle’s darkest spaces never before open to the public.
The one hour experience will feature a variety of theatrically designed sets complete with character actors. There will also be a 3D projection on the castle’s exterior, bringing the characters of the storyline and walls of the castle to life.
You can bet on a good jump scare or two for some seriously spooky fun!
If you’re easily scared or have small children, you can still participate in the experience during Casa Loma’s Family Hours, offered between October 18 and November 2 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. During these times when it is less dark, the experience is designed to be less frightening as there will be no live actors or characters.
If you work up an appetite from all the adrenaline, there’s also a cafe and bar onsite to fuel up and hydrate at.
Tickets start at $45 online and $50 at the door. Any visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Happy Halloween, Toronto!
