Timing your visit to Chudleigh’s Farm makes a big difference. Early apple varieties begin ripening in mid-to-late August. The best picking typically runs through September and October. During this time, multiple varieties are available throughout the orchard. Because harvest conditions change with the weather, the farm updates its apple-picking availability regularly, making it worth checking before you visit.
Even when picking is limited, there’s plenty to do around the farm, including tractor wagon rides with views of the Niagara Escarpment, a nature trail with swing ropes, and a play area featuring four massive slides that keep kids entertained for hours.
Farm Essentials
The bakery has become a destination in its own right, drawing visitors with its famous Apple Blossoms, the signature pastry that has become synonymous with the farm experience. Beyond baked goods, the farm kitchen serves a variety of meals, including farm-style barbecue, making it easy to spend the day without needing to leave for lunch. Just be sure to save some room alongside your apple haul.

Tickets must be purchased online in advance, as walk-ins are no longer accepted. Weekend crowds can be heavy during peak season, so arriving at opening or later in the afternoon is often the best way to avoid long waits. Parking remains free.
The farm is open seasonally, with the fall season running through October 31. Fall is the only time to experience the orchard at its fullest. Outside of harvest season, visitors can still find the farm’s popular apple treats at Blossom Café in downtown Milton, which operates year-round.
