Summer has only just arrived in Toronto, but we’re already just weeks away from sunflower season in the province!
If you’re looking for a daytrip activity or the perfect photo op, one Ontario farm will be hosting a spectacular sunflower festival later this month, running from July 27 through August 18, 2024.
Davis Family Farm, located in Caledon, is around a 1 hour drive from the city, where you’ll find a whole kilometre of the bright and beautiful blooms.
Stroll through the 3km long “field of dreams” as they call it, grab a sweet treat, take a sunset yoga class, or have a picnic among the flowers.
The farm will also be hosting various workshops onsite, including “Sunflower Bouquets” or “How to Make a Charcuterie Board”.
With various photo ops found throughout the field, there’s no shortage of Instagrammable settings.
Friday, August 2 is also Caledon’s second annual Sunflower Soiree, where you can enjoy live music, drinks, and food within the fields of sunflowers.
There’s even going to be a local Wine Wagon serving up Sunflower Sangrias all night long, so it’s the perfect day to plan your visit for!
Tickets to visit are priced at $13.50 for adults, and $5 for kids between 6 and 13. The Sunflower Soiree is priced at $25, but includes a glass of Sunflower Sangria upon entry.
