A spectacularly spooky celebration may soon be bringing festive frights right to the city. Forget sparkling lights and carols; this beloved event embraces the darker, more mischievous side of holiday folklore.
Returning for its 13th year, the Krampus Ball has become a beloved Toronto tradition.

The Opera House will once again be transformed into a fantastical wonderland, all inspired by the ancient folklore of Krampus, the yuletide demon. Organized by the dark electro spectacle group Squid Lid, the night promises a dazzling lineup of live music, mesmerizing aerial acts, flow arts, burlesque, and interactive installations.
The main event is an immersive party, and guests are encouraged to fully embrace it by donning creative outfits. It’s the perfect escape from traditional festivities, whether you come as a festive demon, a twisted nutcracker, or another holiday-themed character.

The one-of-a-kind show is a chance to connect with like-minded revelers in an inclusive and fantastical atmosphere. Keep in mind this is a 19+ event.
The Krampus Ball takes place at The Opera House (735 Queen Street East) on Saturday, December 6, with doors scheduled to open at 10 p.m. Tickets for this year’s event went on sale on November 1.
