One of Toronto’s most beloved holiday traditions is officially returning this fall!
Toronto’s world-famous Distillery Winter Village opens for the season on Thursday, November 12, 2026, bringing its signature festive atmosphere to the historic Distillery District through January 3, 2027.

For seven weeks, the 13-acre pedestrian-only neighbourhood will once again transform into an enchanting winter wonderland, complete with sparkling canopy lights, seasonal food and drinks, local vendors, and plenty of holiday shopping.
The festivities kick off on opening night with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. in Trinity Square. The towering tree will serve as the centrepiece of the celebrations, surrounded by artisan vendor cabins, cozy fireplace lounges, and open-air food stalls.
Throughout the season, visitors can wander the district’s cobblestone streets, browse festive market cabins, and explore more than 90 permanent boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants. The air will be filled with the smells of mulled wine, roasted nuts, and freshly baked pastries, while live musical performances from local choirs and carollers add to the Christmas atmosphere.
Those looking to escape the cold can also explore indoor attractions, including Santa’s Village, hosted inside the Soulpepper Theatre complex.
