One of the city’s most anticipated events is officially returning this month to kick off the summer festival season.
For the past 14 years, Electric Island has been a Victoria Day long weekend tradition for electronic music fans, transforming various parks across Toronto into a massive outdoor dance floor.

This summer, the music festival will open the season at Woodbine Park with a two-day season opener on May 16 and 17. Spanning across three massive stages, the venue will once again feature cutting-edge stage designs, immersive light setups, and thousands of music lovers ready to dance til the stars come out. Each stage is curated to offer a different vibe, creating a sonic journey that ranges from deep house to heavy-hitting techno.
The main event features a stacked lineup of global heavyweights and local legends. This year, the Victoria Day festivities will be headlined by massive acts like Adriatique, The Martinez Brothers, and Kevin de Vries.

Between catching your favourite sets, Electric Island also features a unique picnic experience. Attendees can explore a variety of local food trucks and artisan vendors scattered throughout the park, offering everything from gourmet street food to festival fashion.
Electric Island will take over Woodbine Park (1695 Queen St. E) on May 16 and 17, with gates typically opening around 2:30 p.m. You can find the full artist schedule and grab your passes on the Electric Island website.
After the May long weekend, the festival will return for several more installments throughout the summer, with additional dates scheduled for June, August, and September.
