Get your shuffling shoes ready! Electric Island is back!
Toronto’s beloved outdoor electronic music festival kicks off for the first of four summer weekends this Victoria Day long weekend, returning for its 13th year.
Spanning eight days across four weekends, Electric Island temporarily converts city parks into an epic destination for house, techno, and electronic music across three stages.
While the event originally took place on the Toronto Islands (hence the name Electric Island), it has moved venues over the years, now landing in Fort York and The Bentway.
This summer’s dates are as follows: May 17 and 18, June 28 and 29, August 8 and 9, and August 30 and 31.
Featuring some of the hottest artists in the world as well as homegrown Canadian talent, attendees can anticipate a stacked lineup for the first event of the season.
On May 17, big names like Camelphat, Miss Monique, and Prospa will play on the Fort York Stage, Partiboi69 and Cera Khin on The Bentway Stage, and Brigada and Andy Cue take Stage 3 at The Dome.
May 18th’s lineup includes Mochakk, Sammy Virji, and Sosa on Stage 1, John Digweed and Enrico Sangiuliano on Stage 2, and Astra and Martinello on Stage 3. You can find the full line-up here on their website.
The Canada Day long weekend series lineup has also already been announced, with renowned artists like Disclosure, Bonobo, and Black Coffee coming to the city for the occasion.
August’s artists are still TBD, but if judging by the first two festival lineups, we are in for a treat!
Both single and 2-day tickets are available for sale for the Victoria Day and Canada Day weekend events. Single day tickets start at $75 before fees, and two-day passes start at $165 before fees.
Electric Island will go on rain or shine, so be sure to dress accordingly and lather on your sunscreen! Food and drinks will also be available for sale at the venue.
See you there, Toronto!
