If you’re willing to brave the cold this weekend, one of the most anticipated winter events is back just a few hours north of Toronto!
This Saturday, January 25, Bracebridge will be celebrating winter with the return of their Fire & Ice Festival – a favourite among locals and visitors alike!
Bringing a unique approach to a traditional winter carnival, the annual event is jam-packed with activities and entertainment, transforming the small town into a quintessential Canadian experience for one day only.
One of the festival’s highlights is the making of Manitoba Street into a massive snow tubing hill. The street is completely shut down and blanketed with truckloads of snow, in which visitors can then fly down in an inflatable tube.
There will also be outdoor ice skating, kids snowshoeing, ice sculpting, a Great Canadian Lumberjack Show, buskers, and so much more.
When it’s time to warm up, the fire-themed activities take center stage. Cozy up by the campfire to roast marshmallows or visit Bracebridge Hall, which will host a Biergarten for the day.
Come hungry, as the festival will also have a pancake breakfast, food trucks, maple taffy, and cupcake decorating.
Fire & Ice takes place Saturday, January 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are priced at $10 for adults (ages 13+) and $5 for children aged 6-12.
Don’t miss out on this unforgettable winter experience!
