If you walk through Bloor-Yorkville this week and find yourself stopping every thirty seconds to take a photo, that is by design. Fleurs de Villes FLORA has taken over the neighbourhood for five days. It turns its boutique-lined streets and public courtyards into a free, self-guided floral gallery, unlike anything else happening in the city right now.
The centrepiece of it all is the signature floral mannequin. Local designers have built life-sized couture figures from scratch using only fresh flowers, each a different creation and genuinely worth the walk to find.
Floral Fantasy
Inspired by Flora, the Roman Goddess of Spring, this year’s installations lean into the idea of flowers as fashion, not just decoration. The difference is visible. These are not vases on a shelf. They are gowns, silhouettes, and architectural pieces that happen to smell extraordinary.
Saturday is the day to go if you can only pick one. On May 9 from 11am to 3pm, roaming FLORA models wearing elaborate live floral headpieces styled by Salon Daniel will be moving through the trail.

The pop-up flower market at Village of Yorkville Park, The Colonnade, and the Manulife Centre runs from 10am to 6pm on both weekend days. Live music plays from 1 to 4pm at three locations along the trail, with local artists including Ale Nunez, Christ Platt Trio, and Danielle Bassels.
Inside the Manulife Centre Concourse, Fleurs de Villes JARDIN hosts live floral demonstrations daily from May 7 to 10, running from 11am to 5pm. Expert florists walk through arrangement techniques and seasonal design in a session format that is genuinely worth fifteen minutes of your afternoon.
A dozen Yorkville restaurants and cafes are running floral-themed menus under the Flowers Make Us Happy Hour banner, including Sassafraz, Bar Reyna, Trattoria Nervosa, Dark Horse Espresso Bar, and Amal.
The event also supports Breast Cancer Canada. Post a photo of your favourite installation on Instagram for a chance to win four VIP tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s LUZIA.
The whole thing is free. No tickets, no registration. Grab a trail map from the Anndore House, the Hazelton Hotel, or the Manulife Centre when you arrive, or scan the QR codes on-site. Best done in daylight. Bring comfortable shoes and a fully charged phone.
