Looking for something fun and social to do in Toronto this weekend that doesn’t involve a club?
One of the city’s best-kept secret summer events Bike Party Toronto is rolling back into the city streets this Saturday, July 12, where hundreds of cyclists will take part in a roaming block party on two wheels – and it’s totally free to join in on the fun!
Riders will decorate their bikes with LEDs, glow sticks, and lights, dress in fun costumes, and cruise through the city along a mystery route powered by a synchronized playlist.
The nighttime community ride kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at a TTC-accessible, centrally located meetup spot, which will only be revealed to those who sign up for the Bike Party mailing list. From there, riders will be taken on surprise route through Toronto’s parks, residential streets, and downtown, with pit stops and spontaneous dance parties along the way.
A four-hour music mix will be shared to participants ahead of time, so the ride can become a synchronized dance party.
To participate in the Toronto Bike Party, riders are encouraged to bring a bike in good working order, a portable speaker, plenty of lights, LEDs, and glow gear, snacks, water, and a spare tube, and dress in a bike-friendly costume for extra flair.
While the event is free to attend, The Bike Party team encourages donations to help cover event costs and keep the experience accessible and sustainable.
Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just dusting off your bike for the summer, the event is beginner-friendly, and all experience levels are welcome.
