The winter Olympics are about to kick off, and to cheer on our Canadian athletes, an epic celebration is bringing all the winter energy of Milano Cortina 2026 right to Toronto’s doorstep this weekend!
For two days only, Nathan Phillips Square will be transformed into Team Canada FanFest, a huge, free outdoor festival dedicated to cheering on our nation’s best athletes as they compete on the world stage.

The square will buzz with red and white pride as giant screens broadcast live Olympic competitions, ensuring you don’t miss a single podium moment. But it’s not just a viewing party; the event offers a rare chance to step into the boots of an Olympian. Attendees can participate in interactive sport demonstrations, ranging from testing your precision with curling to trying out biathlon equipment.
The iconic public skating rink will also be at the center of the action. You can join special Skate with Hockey Canada sessions or watch breathtaking demonstrations by Skate Canada athletes. If you don’t have your own skates, don’t worry – complimentary equipment rentals will be available throughout the day.
In addition to the athletics, the festival will be packed with unique activations to keep you fueled and entertained. You can grab a free coffee from the Tim Hortons truck, strike a pose on the Bell medal podium, or visit the CBC booth for athlete meet-and-greets and trivia. There’s even a “Become the Bear” interactive experience that transforms fans into roaring mascots for the team.
The Team Canada FanFest takes over Nathan Phillips Square this Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is completely free for fans of all ages, making it the perfect way to soak up the Olympic spirit!
