A magical seasonal escape is returning just north of Toronto this winter, and Friday Harbour Resort in Innisfil will once again transform into a European-inspired holiday wonderland.
The luxury waterfront destination is bringing back its beloved Holiday Market on select dates from November 20 to December 27, kicking off weeks of festive cheer, sparkling light displays, and cozy open-air entertainment.
From rows of twinkling lights lining the promenade to charming wooden vendor cabins, you’ll get to wander through an enchanting village straight out of a storybook, shop for unique handcrafted gifts, and indulge in seasonal bites and warm drinks from themed food stalls.
Marvel at the magnificent 40-foot Christmas tree in the Piazza during the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 28 at 5 p.m., or snap a keepsake photo with Santa and his elves inside Santa’s Workshop. The resort will also feature roaming carolers, live entertainment, and an annual Holiday Toy Drive supporting local charities.
If you want to kick the festivities off early, the resort is hosting an Evening of Illusion on Friday, November 13 at 6 p.m., featuring a three-course prix-fixe dinner, a performance by Edwin the Illusionist, and a late-night DJ party (19+ after 9 p.m.).
Beyond the village stalls, you can lace up a pair of skates on the Piazza ice rink, explore seven kilometres of nature trails via snowshoes or fat bikes from the Winter Outdoor Adventure Centre, and warm up in festive lounge spaces. You can also cap off your evening with dinner reservations along the promenade, including a featured weekend menu at Lake Club Restaurant.
Best of all, admission to the resort and parking are completely free throughout the holiday season, making it an easy and budget-friendly winter getaway.
