A glowing, frozen experience tucked away in the heart of Muskoka might be the ultimate way to embrace the chill this season.
For those looking to level up their winter adventures, the Crystal Head Vodka ICEBAR at the JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka has become a premier destination for a “cool” night out, featuring a sub-zero tasting room created in partnership with Canadian legend Dan Aykroyd.

Inside this glistening lounge, the walls and bar are meticulously carved from massive blocks of ice. Kept at a crisp -15 C, the atmosphere is electric, glowing with neon lights that reflect off the frozen surfaces.
Upon entry, you’ll be geared up with a cozy parka before being led through a curated tasting of three distinct Crystal Head Vodka expressions: the original Canadian corn spirit, the English wheat Aurora, and the agave-based Onyx.

Designed to highlight th artistry of the vodkas themselves, food is not served within the ICEBAR, although the JW Marriott has a number of restaurants onsite to indulge at after your experience. If you’re looking to make a full night of it, you can also head out to the resort’s terrace to dine in the Muskoka Ice Caves. These transparent, heated geodesic domes overlook the frozen Lake Rosseau, offering a cozy spot to enjoy charcoal-grilled dishes under the stars.
The Crystal Head Vodka ICEBAR is located at 1050 Paignton House Rd. in Minett, roughly two and a half hours from Toronto. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made through the JW Marriott The Rosseau website.
