Gluten Free Garage has earned its reputation as Toronto’s premier gluten-free food festival, and its 12th annual edition on May 31 at Wychwood Barns continues that tradition.
From artisanal baked goods and prepared meals to pantry staples and sweet treats, the festival offers an opportunity to discover products that are often difficult to find in one place.
The historic venue transforms into a vibrant marketplace where visitors can sample, shop, and connect directly with the makers behind their favourite brands. New discoveries sit alongside trusted favourites, creating an experience that appeals to both longtime gluten-free consumers and those just beginning their journey.
More than a food festival, Gluten Free Garage is a celebration of community. It brings together people who share a common lifestyle, creating a welcoming space where every bite can be enjoyed with confidence and great taste never feels like a compromise.
What sets Gluten Free Garage apart is not simply the number of vendors but the care behind every selection. Each exhibitor is carefully reviewed, and every product must meet the festival’s gluten-free standards before earning a place on the show floor.
Safe & Delicious
For attendees living with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, that level of scrutiny offers something increasingly rare at large food events. The freedom to explore, sample, and shop with confidence. Instead of questioning ingredients or worrying about hidden sources of gluten, visitors can focus on discovering new favourites. As well as enjoying the experience.
At its core, the festival’s mission remains simple: to bring the gluten-free community together for a day of great food, meaningful connections, and products that prove gluten-free never has to mean sacrificing flavour.
The 2026 lineup features everything from Vietnamese street food and Montreal-style pastries to bubble waffles, espresso freezies, smash burgers, gluten-free beer, and craft sodas. Other highlights include beignets, Jamaican patties, tacos, bagels, and pizza, showcasing the diversity of today’s gluten-free food scene.
Timed entry sessions help keep the experience comfortable. Tickets include a Gluten Free Garage tote bag and entry into a raffle for online purchasers. Children 15 and under attend free.
More than a food festival, Gluten Free Garage is a community gathering. Visitors can connect with experts at the Celiac Canada booth while supporting a food drive benefiting The Beeton Cupboard and Fort York Food Bank.
