If you’ve never tried skiing or snowboarding before, a super unique opportunity to embrace Canadian winter is coming right to downtown Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square next week.
Go Skiing Go Snowboarding brought the winter fun to the city last year in partnership with the Ontario Snow Resorts Association, and now they’re back to create a massive ski hill right outside Toronto City Hall.
Returning on February 28 and 29 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., first time skiers or snowboarders will get the chance to ski or snowboard among skyscrapers in this one-of-a-kind event.
Practice your “pizza” stops or “French fries” on skies, or learn the basics of a toe-side stop on a snowboard.
The event is intended for first-timers only, who are not set up with their own ski and snowboard gear.
There will also be free equipment and guidance for all participants.
Once you’ve got your techniques down, why not head to one of the larger ski hills nearby?
When: February 28 – 29, 2024
11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Nathan Phillips Square
100 Queen St W, Toronto
