A major GO Transit service disruption is scheduled for Toronto this weekend, and commuters travelling along the city’s busiest rail corridor may need to adjust their travel plans.
Planned construction is taking place on the Lakeshore West line over the weekend, bringing significant service modifications for passengers heading in and out of the city.
On Saturday, Oct. 24 and Sunday, Oct. 25, GO trains will only run between Niagara Falls GO and Aldershot GO. There will be no GO train service operating between Aldershot GO and Union Station for the entire weekend.
To keep travellers moving, replacement GO buses will run directly between West Harbour GO and the Union Station Bus Terminal. Commuters are advised to give themselves extra travel time and plan their routes in advance to navigate around the construction work.
