A major star-studded comedy event has been unexpectedly postponed last minute, leaving fans high and dry just days before showtime.
The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival was set to make its big debut in Mississauga this weekend, taking over the scenic grounds of Erindale Park from September 11 to 13. However, organizers abruptly announced that the entire multi-day affair will not take place as planned, offering minimal details on what went wrong.

The massive outdoor showcase was slated to bring a blockbuster lineup of laughs to the area. Heavyweights like John Mulaney, Hasan Minhaj, Ronny Chieng, Fred Armisen, and Stavros Halkias were all scheduled to take the stage throughout the three-day weekend.
Local comedy lovers will now have to hold tight, after festival organizers released a brief statement online citing that their priority is delivering “the best possible festival,” deciding that pushing back the dates was the right call to ensure a top-tier experience. Headliner John Mulaney also chimed in on social media, clarifying that the decision to put the brakes on the weekend was made by organizers rather than the performers themselves.
While the last-minute change is a huge bummer for thousands of attendees, ticket holders aren’t completely out of luck just yet. Organizers confirmed that they are actively exploring new dates to reschedule the event and will be contacting purchasers directly with further updates.
