The Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games are about to kick off, taking place from July 26 through August 11 in France. The opening ceremonies will be held on Friday, July 26 starting at 1:30 p.m. EST, though a few events begin Wednesday July 24.
While the city is full of great sports bars and pubs that will be airing the games, due to the time difference, many events will be taking place overnight and through the workday hours.
Luckily, if you want to watch in your PJs from the comfort of your couch, you’ve got a number of options here in Canada.
Your best bet is to watch through CBC/Radio Canada’s website, who is the primary broadcaster of the Olympics across the country. Stream the events live or on demand on CBC Gem, which you can download as an app on most devices.
While you’ll need to create a free account to use the app, it’s all completely free to watch! Those using the CBC website on a web browser don’t need to make an account at all.
Alternatively, you can also watch on TSN and Sportsnet via their digital online subscription streaming services, TSN+ and Sportsnet NOW.
For those with cable TV, NBC will be airing the games as well, but will be mainly covering the American athletes as they are the primary broadcaster in the United States.
Let’s go, Team Canada!
