Beloved American pancake house IHOP is finally opening its first location in Toronto, so get ready to indulge in fluffy stacks lathered in syrup, burgers, biscuits, and more.
The breakfast chain announced back in 2019 it had plans to open 15 locations across the Greater Toronto Area, and while it currently has restaurants in Niagara, Belleville, and Brampton, the city of Toronto itself has yet to open one.
However, it has finally been revealed that the City of Toronto has issued building permits for a dine-in IHOP located at 345 Bloor Street East.
The chain previously came to the city temporarily in 2021 via two ghost kitchen locations, but this will mark their first sit-down restaurant in Toronto.
IHOP’s application for building additions, alterations, plumbing, and mechanical work were approved on January 2, so while they have yet to announce an official opening date, it won’t be long now.
