It’s no secret that we love our city and all that it has to offer, from its diverse culture to historical destinations.
An incredible way to rediscover the best of Toronto is through the Kimpton Saint George Hotel’s latest initiative, Project 416, which pays homage to the city while giving back.
Perfect for a city staycation, the eclectic 14-storey boutique hotel launched in June 2018 and is located in the bustling Annex-Yorkville neighbourhood, just a short walk away from world-class museums, attractions, and independent shops, cafes and galleries.
From the moment you walk into the Kimpton Saint George, you’ll feel like you’re at home away from home with its thoughtful amenities, warm and welcoming design, and personal touches. The lounge space adjacent to the lobby is an ideal gathering place, comparable to a living room with its cozy fireplace and plush seating.
The hotel even offers PUBLIC cruiser bikes to rent and tour the city on, a hosted wine hour, and in-room yoga mats so you can practice in privacy. If you can’t go anywhere without your furry best friend, don’t worry, as the Kimpton is dog-friendly with no extra charges!
Project 416, which the hotel kicked off last month in June, lets guests experience an elevated stay in a thoughtfully curated room dedicated to Toronto.
Guests who book Room 416 will find it full of little treasures to discover, including artwork by local artist Lichia Liu, a vinyl record collection from diverse Toronto artists, postcards of iconic Toronto images, and even a Polaroid camera for use during your stay. Don’t miss checking out your closet for a Closet Smile, where you can spot an ode to Toronto’s infamous albino white squirrels.
While the Kimpton Saint George has truly thought of every little detail to make Project 416 a cherished experience for its guests, one of the best parts is that is also gives back to the community with this initiative.
For each reservation booked in Room 416 for the duration of the project, the hotel will donate ten percent of the room’s revenue to Red Door Family Shelter, a local charity which assists families, refugees, and women who are fleeing violence.
In honour of the shelter, Room 416’s door is also painted red, giving it yet another special touch.
Project 416 is on until the end of summer, so if you’re thinking of a staycation in Toronto, book soon!
