Kitchener’s Christkindl Market returns to City Hall at 200 King Street West this December, celebrating its 30th anniversary with two weekends of festive shopping and three evenings of live entertainment.
The market spans two festive weekends, December 3–6 and December 10–13. Opening hours are 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Between the two market weekends, December 7–9, visitors can enjoy live evening entertainment from 6 to 11 p.m. each night. These midweek dates focus on entertainment, while shopping with market vendors is scheduled for the two weekends.
The market will feature local artisans and small businesses selling handmade gifts, holiday decorations, and festive treats. The full 2026 vendor lineup, specific food offerings, and admission prices have not yet been announced, so visitors should check the city’s official website for updates.
The city has warned of scammers offering fake vendor spots while impersonating city staff. Official vendor communications come from kitchener.ca email addresses, so artisans should verify any offers before responding.
Located just over an hour from Toronto by car, depending on traffic, the market makes an easy and fun holiday day trip.
