Toronto residents in the West End will soon be smelling the oh-so-sweet aroma of freshly glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the air, once the company opens its first production site and retail shop in the city next week.
As of August 27 2024, the U.S. chain and coffeehouse will open Toronto’s first “inner-city Doughnut Factory”, which will be located at 2458 Lake Shore Blvd.
While there are Krispy Kreme locations found throughout the city, here you’ll be able to watch the doughnut-making process in its entirety.
Guests visiting on opening day will also get a number of perks: the first person in line gets to turn on the new location’s “Hot Light”, and the first 12 visitors in line will receive a golden ticket which entitled them to a dozen free Original Glazed doughnuts each month for a year!
If you aren’t among the first, don’t worry – you’ll also get an Original Glazed doughnut to devour for free while you check out the doughnut assembly line.
Besides their iconic Original Glazed doughnuts, you’ll find a variety of other flavours like Chocolate Iced Glazed, Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, Cake Batter, Apple Fritters, and their seasonal offerings.
There will also be coffee and espresso beverages, frozen drinks, and other baked goods like muffins and croissants for sale.
Krispy Kreme’s new store in Etobicoke will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
