Just an hour and a half outside of Toronto lies one of the Greater Toronto Area’s favorite winter destinations. You might know it for skiing, but Horseshoe Valley Resort is home to one of Ontario’s ultimate winter thrill rides: the longest snow tubing hill in the province!
If you’re looking for high-speed thrills with absolutely no skill required, this adventure is a must-do for families, friends, and anyone craving a nostalgic rush.

The tubing park at Horseshoe Resort was revamped back in 2017 to double in length, and now spans over 600 metres long with multiple shoots, offering an exhilarating, all-ages adventure. The initial drop is extra steep, so tubers will be sent soaring down the hill right from the jump.
Even better? Here, you can forget about the exhausting climb back up the hill, because Horseshoe offers a Magic Carpet Lift to whisk riders and their tubes back to the top.
For a unique winter rush, you can book an evening slot ending as late as 9 p.m. and go tubing under the stars.

Pricing varies depending on the day and time, with regular weekday rates from Tuesday to Thursday set at $26 for any two-hour block between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Weekend rates are higher, ranging from $49 to $55 depending on the time slot, and holiday periods, including December 19 to January 4, February 13–16, and March 13–22, are subject to peak pricing.
To ensure safety on the hill, all riders must be at least 42 inches tall, and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. While helmets are not mandatory, they are recommended and available for rent onsite.
Besides snow tubing, Horseshoe Valley Resort is a winter activity mecca! While you’re there, you can also try Nordic of downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fat biking and slope-side ice skating, or spend the night at the resort.
Thanks to the weather lately, Horseshoe Valley Resort officially opens to skiiers this weekend on December 5. The snow tubing hill is predicted to open later this month on December 19, weather dependent.
