A glowing, free outdoor art exhibition is returning to illuminate the Toronto waterfront this winter, transforming a beloved lakeside park into a mesmerizing gallery under the stars.
Lumière: The Art of Light will once again take over Trillium Park at Ontario Place, running from Family Day (February 16) through March 27, 2026.

This year, the gallery is centered around the theme “Rhythms of Light: Motion, Sound, and Time,” promising a multisensory journey that explores how light can pulse and evolve.
Visitors can wander through the William G. Davis Trail to discover 14 unique installations created by talented Ontario-based artists. These bold, imaginative works utilize everything from interactive technology to vibrant neon sculptures to tell their stories. Among the must-see pieces this year are “PORTAL” by Tonya Hart and the rhythmic “Möbius Ensemble” by Bitbrainz, each offering a one-of-a-kind perspective on the intersection of art and innovation.
The exhibition is completely free to attend and caters to explorers of all ages, making it a perfect evening out for families or a whimsical date night destination. While the glowing art is the main attraction, the experience is made even more magical by the park’s natural beauty and its iconic views of the Toronto skyline.

As the event takes place outdoors, you’ll be able to warm up and get cozy at the Trillium Park fire pit. Bonfires are scheduled to take place every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the event’s run. If you’re looking for a mid-week escape, the fires will also be lit nightly during March Break, weather permitting.
You can find more details about the featured artists and the full site map on the Ontario Place website.
