A mouthwatering, cheesy delight will be attracting Torontonians this Valentine’s Day weekend.
The Mac & Cheese Festival is back this year, exploring the delicious delicacy that is cheese and pasta. From February 14-16, vendors from across Canada will set up stall in Mississauga. On offer will be so many varieties of mac & cheese that visitors will think they’ve died and gone to heaven.[Photo:@to_finest]
In previous years, the event has attracted around 500,000 guests and, on Valentine’s Day weekend, it sounds like a tasty way to celebrate. A couple who eats excessive amounts of mac & cheese together, stays together.
There are around 40-50 varieties of mac & cheese on offer at the festival, plus a bar so you can wash all of that cheesy goodness down. Musicians will also provide a lovely backing track to your eating, with Disco Rebels headlining this year.
Last year’s event saw some brilliant and tasty inventions from vendors, including a grilled cheese sandwich, wrapped in bacon and topped with mac & cheese, from Bacon Nation. This year Saltlick Smokehouse are bringing crayfish mac & cheese to the table.
Everything at the festival is purchased with tokens and you can by 4 tokens for $5. According to the website, food will range between 6-9 tokens per portion and you can buy tickets for the event on the website.
