Get ready to swap your neutrals for hot pink, as the highly anticipated Malibu Barbie Cafe is making its official Canadian debut in Toronto starting this week!
Brought to life through a collaboration between Mattel and media experience brand Bucket Listers, this 1970s-inspired beachside wonderland will bring a wave of nostalgia to the city. After incredibly successful, sold-out runs across major cities like New York, Chicago, and Melbourne, Toronto marks the first Canadian stop.
This fully immersive sensory experience celebrates the carefree, sunny energy of Malibu Barbie’s golden era. Visitors will find a themed dining experience featuring a fast-casual menu thoughtfully curated by MasterChef finalist and Chopped champion Chef Becky Brown. You can expect playful twists on classic diner fare with items like Pacific Paradise Pancakes, West Coast Wave Salad, and Tubular Tenders, along with creative signature cocktails and mocktails.
Besides the food, guests can strap on skates and glide across a groovy, on-theme 1970s roller rink. Even better, a portion of the proceeds from every skate rental will go directly to their charity partner, Girls Inc.
The entire space is designed with Barbie colours, beachy motifs, and plenty of retro glam, including a life-size Barbie doll box waiting for you and your squad to strike your best poses. To top it all off, a dedicated retail space will feature exclusive Barbie merchandise, and the cafe plans to host special interactive programming like cupcake decorating classes, paint parties, and 21+ themed skate nights.

Tickets start at $41.54 per person and include a 90-minute table reservation, a $10 food credit, and a $5 merchandise credit to spend on exclusive pop-up souvenirs.
The Malibu Barbie Café runs from August 13 through November 1 at 70 The Esplanade. Tickets and time slots must be reserved in advance.
