The Music and Lights in the Village festivities run from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with the Christmas tree lighting at 7:15 p.m. as the evening’s main highlight. Visitors can enjoy choir performances at St. Andrew’s from 6 to 7 p.m., along with free hot chocolate and crafts at the Towne Centre from 6 to 8 p.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be there for festive photos.
Free parking is available, and visitors can also take Grand River Transit to the event. For those sensitive to crowds and bright lights, the city will provide sensory bags to help make the festivities more comfortable and accessible.
The celebration is part of Cambridge’s larger Winterfest festivities, which feature several holiday events throughout the season. The Santa Claus Parade takes place on Saturday, November 14, at 6 p.m., travelling along King Street East in Preston. Visitors can explore the full holiday lineup on the city’s Winterfest website.

Visitors are encouraged to dress warmly and bring the whole family for a festive evening in Hespeler Village.
