Two of the biggest names in 2000s R&B are joining forces, and they’re bringing a massive nostalgia trip to the city this summer.
Grammy Award winners Ne-Yo and Akon have officially announced their co-headlining “Nights Like This” global tour, a 57-city trek that promises to turn the city into one giant throwback party. For fans who grew up with these bops on repeat, this is your chance to catch two icons sharing the stage for an unforgettable night.
Rather than having traditional opening acts, the duo will perform together in an iconic hit-for-hit format. Fans can anticipate to hear Ne-Yo’s smooth classics like “So Sick” and “Miss Independent” blended seamlessly with Akon’s signature club anthems like “Smack That” and “Lonely.”
“NE-YO and Akon will share the stage in a unique, dynamic back-and-forth set throughout the show stacked with era-defining hits, sing-along anthems, and club classics,” writes Live Nation in a press release.
The Toronto stop is scheduled for July 31, 2026, at the RBC Amphitheatre (formerly Budweiser Stage). It’s the perfect summer setting to catch these R&B legends under the stars, with the show kicking off at 8 p.m.
While the tour is hitting major hubs like London, Paris, and Atlanta, Ontario fans actually get two chances to catch the magic. If you can’t make the July date in the city, the tour will also be stopping at Hamilton’s newly renovated TD Coliseum on June 27.
Tickets for the general public went on sale Friday, January 30, at 10 a.m. local time.
