Peach season is just around the corner, and Canadians know there’s nothing like a juicy Niagara peach!
This August, the charming small town of Niagara-on-the-Lake will once again transform into a peach-filled paradise during its much-anticipated Peach Festival, which will run from August 8 – 10, 2025.
Just a 2 hour drive from Toronto, it’s the sweetest summer daytrip, filled with a weekend of all things peach-related.
The festival officially kicks off on Friday, August 8 in Simcoe Park from noon until 7 p.m., and visitors can browse a variety of treats ranging from classic favourites like fresh peach pies and cobblers to more adventurous creations, like peach churros, Nutella peach pizza, and paneer skewers with grilled peaches.
Local chefs and restaurants will also get in on the fun, presenting special festival menus and peach cocktails designed to highlight the season’s best fruit.
On August 9, the annual Peach Pie Contest will take place, where bakers will battle it out to be crowned this year’s champion. Queen Street will also close to traffic, becoming a pedestrian-only zone full of stalls, performances, and family activities.
Children can enjoy the Peachy Keen Kids Zone and take part in hands-on crafts or visit the antique tractor display, while adults explore the Peach-on-the-Street Market filled with local produce, handmade goods, and Niagara’s finest wines and ciders. Throughout the day, the Sips of Summer bar in Simcoe Park offers refreshing drinks infused with peach.
Live music performances will also keep the spirits high, with a lineup including everything from folk and acoustic acts to jazz ensembles.
The Peach Festival is free to attend, and we can’t think of a sweeter way to spend a summer weekend! Visit their website here for more details.
