Like it or not, fall is just around the corner, and we’ve got the scoop at what weather experts are predicting for next season.
The first official day of fall is Sunday, September 22 2024, and the Farmers’ Almanac just dropped their Extended Fall Forecast for 2024 in Ontario.
“After a scorching summer for many areas, cooler temperatures are always a welcome relief. So, when will this fall deliver those chilly days? Is there snow in the forecast?” the page reads.
According to their predictions, the whole country is in for a “frosty fall on tap”, saying it will literally “blow in on September 22” with chillier temperatures and unsettled weather nationwide.
During September, we can also expect near to above average rainfall, from southern Ontario to the Maritime provinces in the east.
Luckily, by Thanksgiving, which falls on October 14, they are forecasting for “fair and dry” conditions for Ontario, but more “spooky, soggy weather” by the time Halloween rolls around on the 31st.
Other Canadian provinces can expect wetter conditions with more rainfall for Thanksgiving and Halloween holidays.
However, temperatures generally are expected to be above average from the Atlantic Coast through Canada’s central provinces, so that’s some positive news.
For now, let’s enjoy the heat waves and hot temperatures while we still have them!
