Ever since Stranger Things: The Experience has taken the city by storm with its thrilling adventures, we can’t seem to get enough. Unfortunately, the time has come for us to say goodbye — and we’re ugly crying like Will after that conversation with Mike in the back of that Surfer Boy Pizza truck.
The experience will be in town until August 20, which means you only have this weekend to immerse yourself in the universe created by the talented Duffer Brothers. Get transported to 1986 Hawkins and witness the town come alive before your eyes. You’ll be called to channel your inner superhero as you embark on a mission to liberate the city from the clutches of the Upside Down; just keep your eyes peeled: Vecna’s heartless demogorgon army could pop up at any time.
Walking towards Cinespace Marine Terminal Studio, you’ll feel closer and closer to Hawkins, Indiana. The venue has been decked out with bodacious ‘80s decor and key elements from the show, fully transporting you inside the universe of your beloved sci-fi show.
We can’t tell you much about the experience itself, but just know it starts with a sleep study that doesn’t go according to plan. You’ll be interacting with some of the series’ most iconic characters, facing scientists and demogorgons to save the town from Vecna. Luckily, El and the gang will be guiding you with their walkie-talkies every step of the way!
After your heroic escapades, dive even deeper into the world of Stranger Things at Mix-Tape, a relaxing medley of themed locations. Realistic set replicas from the show come to life, from the iconic Byers living room to the delightful Scoops Ahoy and Surfer Boy Pizza. Plus, discover The Upside, a Stranger Things-inspired bar with quirky drinks like the “The Demogorgon” and the “Friends Don’t Lie.”
Obviously it never happened if you didn’t document it, so don’t forget to capture all those memories with the rad photo ops sprinkled throughout Mix-Tape. There’s even a retro photo booth if you’re feeling extra ‘80s! And if you’re looking to take some goodies home with you, there’s also a ton of exclusive merch.
