Toronto’s sweetest winter tradition is officially making a massive comeback this season!
After a heartbreaking hiatus in 2025 due to rising costs, Sugar Shack TO is returning to reclaim its title as the city’s favourite celebration of all things maple. This March 14 and 15, the beloved festival is moving to a brand-new home at Harbourfront Centre, promising a bigger and bolder experience than ever.

For years, Torontonians flocked to the water’s edge to indulge in maple-infused treats and watch traditional sugaring demonstrations. After a year off to regroup, organizers are making good on their promise to return stronger, thanks to a fresh partnership with Harbourfront Centre that aims to elevate the entire experience.
The highlight of the festival of course will remain the iconic sugar shacks, where you can watch fresh Ontario maple taffy being rolled onto snow – a quintessentially Canadian treat. As well, the festival will feature a lineup of maple-inspired comfort foods and signature sweets from Redpath Sugar to satisfy every craving.

While you snack, you can catch live entertainment and participate in interactive activities designed for all ages. As March is known to be a bit dicey in Toronto, there will also be plenty of warming stations scattered throughout the site to keep you toasty and warm.
The best part? This entire celebration is completely free to attend, making it the perfect destination for a March Break outing with the family or a sweet weekend date. If you’d like the purchase some maple taffy, it will be priced at $5 each, or 5 for $20.
You’ll fine Sugar Shack TO at Harbourfront Centre located at 235 Queens Quay W on March 14 and 15, daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
