Forget the blurry nights and brutal hangovers the morning after — Toronto’s party scene is getting a major daytime glow-up.
In case you’ve missed it all over social media, The Coffee Party is the new craze that has taken the city by storm. Starting before noon, live DJs keep the energy high with rotating sets, and the events serve unlimited coffee and pastries instead of booze.
The creators behind The Coffee Party — Zohaib, Matt, Jeff, Greg, and Matty — launched their first event in November 2024 at Baro. 250 partygoers showed up, and by the second event, the attendance doubled to 500 people.
By January 25, for their third event at Nodo in Liberty Village, the crowd had swelled to 1,000 inside, with another thousand waiting to get in.
Each event begins at 11 a.m. and wraps up by 3 p.m. Tickets are priced at a reasonable $20 and include unlimited coffee, matcha, and pastries.
“Guests can expect an electrifying morning atmosphere — the start of something new. The Coffee Party is a budget-friendly, sober-focused event built around the universal love of coffee,” co-founder Matthew Campoli said.
“We curate an immersive experience with world-class DJs, creating a high-energy yet welcoming space where people can make real connections. Unlike traditional nightlife, attendees leave feeling recharged, inspired and with their entire day ahead of them.”
Thanks to their rapid, overnight success, the collective has already brought The Coffee Party international. The first U.S. event took place in Miami in February, and future pop-ups are planned for New York, Vancouver, Montreal, LA, London, and Dubai.
As for Toronto, The Coffee Party’s next planned event is coming up on April 13 at The Well, but unfortunately, tickets sold out in mere minutes online.
There will also be limited door tickets available first come first served, though entry is not guaranteed.
If you weren’t able to attend or secure tickets, The Coffee Party will also be hosting their first festival at Stackt Market on June 14, complete with two separate stages and a number of local Toronto coffee vendors.
It’s a party you definitely won’t want to miss!
