In 1920, The Parkdale Theatre opened thanks to Jay and Jule Allen, famous cinema tycoons. The stunning movie palace was designed by C. Where do we begin! The Parkdale Hall has provided a home for numerous tenants over the years. Eaton’s Bargain Centre Clearance Store, Brewer’s Retail Store, and MacLean Hunter Cable TV Parkdale found their places there. Followed by Parkdale Golden Age Foundation, Creating Together Parkdale Ltd, Lexicon Book Store and Luxtile Warehouse, Queen West Antique Centre, Arcadia Antiques and Hideaway Antiques.
2. Three impressive spaces
If you decide to plan, or even attend, an event at this special venue, you will be amazed by its spaciousness. The Atlantis Room has its very own bar and seats between 40 and 50 people. The Main Hall a magnificent space offering a blank canvas for planners to create their vision. Lastly, the outdoor space is located directly across from the main hall and is usually used by the Pardale BIA for events.
3. Who owns the venue now?
After The Parkdale Theatre closed in 1970, it was occupied by the aforementioned tenants at different times across the following 50 years. And in 2020, The Parkdale Hall fell into the capable hands of the Chan Family.
