The Toronto Zoo is about to get a magical makeover after dark.
Starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to swap daytime zoo visits for an evening wander through a glowing wildlife wonderland, as Glow in the Wild makes its debut on September 3, 2026.
Once the sun goes down, the zoo’s pathways will transform into an illuminated nighttime trail filled with towering animal lanterns, colourful light installations, and glowing tunnels.
Visitors can follow the lit trail while encountering larger-than-life animal displays and immersive light installations designed to bring the grounds to life in an entirely new way.
There will also be interactive photo opportunities scattered throughout the route, making it an easy spot to capture some Insta-worthy late-summer and early-fall snaps.
Just don’t expect to see the zoo’s actual residents along the way. Since the event takes place after hours, the animals will be safely tucked away for the night while their glowing counterparts steal the spotlight.

Glow in the Wild officially opens on September 3, but entry is limited each night, so booking your preferred time slot in advance is recommended.
The event will go ahead rain or shine, so come prepared for whatever the September weather has in store.
