The Toronto Blue Jays are officially back for the season, having made their long-awaited return to the Rogers Centre on March 27 for their home opener.
Attending a Jays game in the spring is basically a rite of passage and unofficial start to summer for Torontonians, and if you’re thinking of going but want to keep the wallet happy, you can score some seriously cheap tickets as low as $10.
That being said, you could end up spending more on your drink than your actual ticket, as prices seem to keep going up and up.
For the 2025 season, a 473 mL domestic tall can will cost you $12.99, with craft tall cans priced at $13.79. Canned cocktails start at $14.49, with the cheapest glass of wine at $16.99. All prices exclude tax and tip.
Of course, mixed alcoholic beverages like the Famous Keg Caeser ($20.99), margaritas and mojitos ($20.99), and signature cocktails ($21.99) are even more.
Luckily, you can still get some great deals in the Dugout Deals zones found at sections 240 and 537. Here, a 12 oz Budweiser or Bud Light will set you back only $6.49 – just be prepared to wait in line!
As for food, that’s a whole other ballgame.
Having recently unveiled a new menu for 2025, fans have been excited to try the stadium’s new offerings, including Cotton Candy Fries, loaded up Ballpark Hot Dogs, Mini Pancakes, and Crush and Dr. Pepper Floats.
According to users on TikTok, the suspiciously blue-tinged Cotton Candy Fries are priced at $12.49 before tax. Grub Tubs featuring four chicken tenders, fries, and a large drink cost $24, which isn’t bad considering single slices of pizza from Pizza Nova hover around $8.
However, if you plan accordingly and come on a Tuesday home game, you can take advantage of Schneiders Loonie Dogs Night, with hot dogs priced at just $1, sold at various concession stands around the ballpark.
To keep things cheap and cheerful, consider coming on a Tuesday or grabbing your food and beverages at the Dugout Deals zones.
