Can’t afford a trip to Hawaii? Well, you won’t have to go too far for a taste of aloha this summer, because Toronto’s favourite floating tiki bars have officially returned to the waterfront.
Palapa Tours has quickly become a favourite summer experience during the city’s warmer months, offering a slice of paradise against the stunning Toronto skyline backdrop. As of May 1, these adorable thatched-roof vessels have welcomed back guests to cruise through the inner harbour.

Spanning 20 feet and hexagonal in shape, each custom-built boat is essentially a high-end tiki hut on the move. Outfitted with a handcrafted wooden bar, a full sound system, and a licensed bartender, the tours offer a 90-minute escape for up to 12 passengers that winds through the scenic lagoons and hidden waterways of the Toronto Islands. And yes, there is a bathroom onboard!
For the 2026 season, the experience will be hosting a series of themed cruises, including FIFA World Cup soccer-inspired trips.
While individual tickets are available for those looking to join a public mix-and-mingle, the boats are also a top pick for private charters, catering to everything from bachelor parties to corporate team-building events (that are actually fun).

The Palapa Tours season kicked off May 1 and runs seven days a week throughout the summer. You can find the boats docked at the southeast corner of HTO Park (319 Queens Quay W), with sailings running from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily. Tickets are priced at $75 to $90 per person, depending on the day of the week you book.
Bookings for the summer 2026 season are now officially open, and since those prime sunset slots tend to vanish faster than a Mai Tai, you’ll want to head to the Palapa Tours website to secure your spot on the water.
